Tools For Life Change

Your Messes are Waiting for You

A few years ago, I was in Florida for a Rich Dad event and I saw Raymond Aaron, another great Canadian success coach, deliver his presentation. He had one phrase in particular that has always stuck with me and I want to share it with you:

Create a Life You Love in 11 Steps

In fact, we're taught that to be happy with where we are is a sure-fire way to fall behind. If someone asked you what you were up to and you said something along the lines of 'Nothin' much, just chilling (or relaxing for us in the older crowd)', you would surely be met with a bewildered stare.

We are expected to be busy. We are expected to be striving. We have been taught that there must always be new activity and new stuff to fill up our time and our minds.

But let's be honest here...

Your Next Level is Waiting… Are You Stepping Up?

3 Clues that It's Time to Step Out in Faith and Expand Your Comfort Zone

Sometimes, okay, well, maybe all the time it can be hard to make change. We're actually hard-wired neurologically (that's in our brains!) to fear change.

Earlier in our evolutionary history, any change in our environment was quite possibly life-threatening and we evolved the instinct to stay in the same environment. The instinct to stay inside our comfort zone and, whatever it takes, to stay safe.

The Problem Elimination Weekend: Are You Ready?

It's just 4 days until the Problem Elimination Weekend and I am preparing and plotting and planning how to make it my best live event yet.

Let me tell you, putting together a 2-day event is no small matter and I wouldn't do it unless I thought it was the best way I had to kickstart my clients on the path to success.

It's going to be a power-packed room and I know that something big will happen for the people who show up ready to give 100%.

What To Do When Your Purpose is Playing Hide and Seek

When you're running as hard as you can just to stay on top of the chaos, it can be hard to spare a thought for your purpose - I totally get it. I spent many years just surviving instead of building a life of passion and purpose that I loved.

But no more.

I've learned my lesson.

If I want to be happy. If I want to feel joy. If I want to see the light at the end of the tunnel, then I have to stay focused on my purpose.

And so do you.

Here's the thing...

Stop Chasing Happiness and Start Cultivating Joy

I've been thinking a lot lately about the difference between happiness and joy and how each of them can be brought into our lives in an intentional and planned way.

Which kind of bothers me... I mean, should we have to plan for and work at happiness and joy? Shouldn't we just be able to sit back and let happiness and joy come to us?

I don't know about you, but I do know about my own experience and that of my clients, and, really, it hasn't worked so well hoping that joy and happiness will just happen.

Well, that's pretty simple isn't it. We all want more, don't we?

Find Your Purpose

Oh boy! I'm getting pretty excited. Well, nervous and excited. Okay, maybe a bit terrified and nervous and super-stoked-excited beyond measure!!!

Next week is the official launch of my new program, Discovering Your Passionate Purpose, and I have been working furiously to finish every part of the project. Wow! It's pretty amazing just how much work it is to FINISH a project.
