“Why does God let bad things happen to us when we are good people?”
“Why doesn’t God love us?”
In Daniel’s vision he sees an evil man who is allowed to hold-back the army of God and overthrow God’s holy sanctuary. For me, those haunting words are some of the scariest in the whole Bible. The truth was overthrown and evil was allowed to succeed in everything it did. That is terrifying to me! Why would God allow evil to have its way with His people? How bad must they have totally messed up for God to say, “I’m outta here! They’re on their own!” We don’t have to guess because it’s all right there in Daniel Chapter 8. The people forgot about God, they stopped turning to Him for guidance. They stopped loving Him and making Him their #1 priority. They placed other gods in that space in their lives and hearts that God demands for Himself.
“The ram butted everything out of his way to the west, to the north, and to the south, and no one could stand against him or help his victims. He did as he pleased and became very great.”
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”

Also? St. Brigid's Day, Candlemas, Groundhog Day, and probably a whole swack of other celebrations designed to lift our eyes to the light in the dark time of the solar cycle (in the north). It's one of my favourite days of the year!
Last week I read “The Big Leap” by Gay Hendricks and one of the ideas that has grabbed me is Einstein Time.
Without going too far into quantum physics (because I want you all to stay awake!), one of Einstein’s ground-breaking ideas was the Theory of Relativity – the idea that, as the observer, I determine reality, including time. Hendricks has taken this idea and turned it into an easy way to understand ‘flow-time’ or why sometimes it takes *forever* for something to happen.
And so it ends. *coughcough*
All that drama and brouhaha about that Filing Cabinet and the big challenge from my new Coach and the Unconscious Mind conversation [See it Here] and I *finally* went with my husband to check out a floor model at a furniture shop in the city.
At my luxury retreat at Ste. Anne's Spa last weekend I delivered a rant something along these lines to the women attending:
"What the f**k is wrong with us?!
So… if you saw the filing cabinet post, I am clearly hitting up against a *furniture edge* (like, who even knew that those existed!) and the butterflies and weirdness has to stop because I promised my Coach that I wouldn't sink into self-sabotage and not receiving. And a deal is a deal.
