Secure Attachment

Anxious Attachment

Avoidant Attachment

Disorganized Attachment

Journalling:

1. Explore how attachment styles manifest during times of conflict or stress in your relationship. Do certain patterns emerge, and how do they contribute to either connection or disconnection? Consider the principles of ‘rift and repair.’ How can an understanding of attachment dynamics contribute to the repair process after moments of relational stress?

2. Envision a relationship characterized by secure attachment bonds. What specific actions can you and your significant other take to foster a sense of security and safety in the relationship?

3. Reflect on self-attachment and self-compassion. How can cultivating a secure internal attachment style contribute to a more resilient and fulfilling connection with yourself and others?

4. Reflect on your own attachment style. How would you describe your typical patterns of relating to others in close relationships?
